From social media platforms to specialised online marketplaces, the channels to reach potential customers seem endless. However, the tasks of crafting tailored content, optimising visuals, and synchronising strategies across diverse platforms are repetitive and time-consuming.

dipp’s solution addresses the pain point of the labour-intensive process where e-commerce brands and enablers need to create more content than their teams possibly can.

The Taiwan-headquartered AI-powered startup in brand management for e-commerce brands, has just picked up a $1.5 million seed funding round. Investors in this round include venture accelerator SparkLabs Taiwan, U.S. venture capital firm Palm Drive Capital, and content-tech unicorn Tezign.

dipp plans to use the funds to accelerate its AI development, automate repetitive design operations and create efficiency through team collaboration.

“As brands strive to maintain a competitive edge and engage with a diverse online audience, the need for streamlined and efficient solutions to manage these promotional efforts becomes more pronounced than ever before.” said Jennifer Chen, Co-Founder and CEO of dipp. ”The capital will be used to expedite our AI feature development and facilitate our regional market expansion in the APAC region.“

“With global venture capital investments in Generative AI reaching US$1.7 billion in the first quarter of this year, we are thrilled to support dipp in enhancing their e-commerce solution with AI capabilities. As the company has validated its value proposition in Taiwan by offering a much-needed solution to the multichannel e-commerce operations of global brands, we are optimistic that this solution will bring disruptive impact on e-commerce operating workflows throughout the APAC region,“ said Seamon Chan, Founding Partner of Palm Drive Capital.

Generative AI to create branded visual content

dipp was founded by Jennifer Chen and Mikhail Abramov, both former New York-based art directors, with the vision to bring an agile workflow to every e-commerce team, starting with design.

The company is dedicated to providing a seamless and streamlined creative operation platform for e-commerce brands in Asia. It works with e-commerce-enabling agencies, international consumer brands, and online marketplaces to integrate product visual management, creation, and listing into a unified experience.

In the near future, dipp plans to introduce a series of Generative AI features, including AI-generated visual variations to reach new audiences, AI-generated product images to deliver personalised experiences for different channels, and an AI Review function to cross-reference content against brand guidelines and composition rules.
